DAVID

David Lennon

David has 30 years of experience as an Environmental Consultant and R&D Manager responsible for developing a range of new environmental products and programs. He has directed four artificial reef start-ups. David’s career has spanned the globe with projects in Australia, US, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia. His main area of interest is the design and construction of artificial reefs to offset impacts and relocation of corals from dredge zones.

Scott Wallace

Scott is an Environmental Scientist, passionate Educator and Activist, who is apart of the Marine Team at Envirotech. He also has qualifications in Law, and represented the Animal Justice Party in both the local and state government elections in 2020. Scott seeks to inspire people to re-think their relationship with nature, advocating for a transformation of society, culture and governance based on an Earth-Centred worldview.

Dr Steven Andrews

Dr Steve has a PhD in Marine Education & Ecopsychology and BSc in Marine Conservation and Resource Studies. He has been teaching marine and terrestrial ecology at the University of QLD for the past 6 years and is passionate about inspiring new innovative ideas for regenerating our ocean ecosystems. Steve is also a passionate underwater photographer and touring singer/songwriter. He believes that creativity is essential for telling stories and inspiring people to heal and restore our land and sea.

A sample of one Marine Practical Class 

We offer a mix of online learning and in-person practicals
 
The theory is delivered online through the Microsoft Teams platform. Your trainer will teach through direct teaching, images, interactive discussions and case studies with the class. If you are unable to attend a scheduled class, the recording is accessible online. The practical aspects of the course is vital as it puts the theory into practice. The outcome of this course is to prepare you to conduct hands-on conservation and restoration projects through specialised skill sets.

Practical components of the course are conducted for 3-5 days at the end of each term either 2 or 4 times a year.
